Tax Manager

Summary: Hitachi America, Ltd. is looking for a Tax Manager to join the Tax Department  located in Brisbane, CA and Santa Clara, CA. The Tax Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local corporate tax filing requirements, managing Senior Tax Accountant, interfacing with taxing authorities, researching issues, and managing tax projects as assigned.   Responsibilities: Prepare consolidated corporate federal, and combined and separate state and local income tax returns, quarterly tax estimates, and return extensions.  Assists with quarterly tax provisions and other projects as needed.  Updates data collection files in Onesource Dataflow.  Manages and reviews all work (sales tax, property tax, excise tax, and other tax & business filings) prepared by Senior Tax Accountant.  Responds to tax notices and represents corporations in tax audits.  Provides training and guidance to personnel on tax matters.  Researches and provides recommendation on tax issues.  Qualifications    BS in Accounting is preferred.  8-10 years of experience (incl. 1-2 years Big 4 strongly preferred)  Experience using Onesource corporate tax software.  Strong analytical and organizational skills.   Advanced computer skills (Excel, Word).   Excellent communication abilities (verbal and written).   Ability to work independently. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
